Lumiere Feng

Hi, I'm Lumiere Feng. Some people call me Lumi. Growing up, I also went by Hong Bei-xin — 红背心 — which means "red vest" in Chinese and happens to sound like my Chinese name, Peixin.

My educational background is in Finance and Buddhist Counselling. Yes, both. It sounds more put-together than my actual life does.

These days, I write, make podcasts, travel, and work seasonally as an expedition team member in Antarctica and the Arctic. This website is a small archive of things I've written, recorded, seen, and somehow survived.

I'm interested in education, social good, gender, and how people make lives in the places between different parts of the world. Most of what's on this site is me trying to stay curious and keep a record. For projects, podcast ideas, or just a good conversation, feel free to get in touch.
